What do you do when you have little money and decide to be a country folk artist? You become creative - use what resources you find lying around. And what do you find in the mountains of Idaho? PINE TREES! So now you're thinking, something made of wood . . . Right? Not even close. My bears are made from Pine Needles - gathered from the ground, sorted, washed, trimmed and hand woven. It takes a couple hundred thousand pine needles and over 8 months to make a life-sized bear. More Bear Cubsview details |

To make a living, I carve Antlers and other materials - Moose, Deer, Elk, horn, wood, ivory and more. Whatever I can find.
Nothing goes to waste. I use every little scrap of material, as seen with the motorcycle below. It's under 2 1/2" in length. I used 17 different materials to make it. Some of the materials are Walrus Ivory, Ironwood, Water Buffalo horn, Moose Antler, Silver, rhinestones, shell, metal, Plastic, rubber and more. The wheels and handle bars turn, too!
